Funding through calls for proposals

Rabo Foundation supports international farmer-centric organizations that provide essential services to improve smallholder farmers’ livelihoods. For our international programme, we work with calls for proposals. This means that it is not possible to submit an unsolicited funding request.

How our international funding process works

To ensure our support is timely, focused, and aligned with our strategic priorities, Rabo Foundation does not accept unsolicited project proposals or financing requests for the international programme. Instead, we invite organizations to apply only when a call for proposals is open.

Working with calls allows us to concentrate our capacity on themes and opportunities that are most relevant at a given moment—while also taking into account practical considerations such as planning cycles and seasonal factors.
